Blind Justice With Scales And Sword

About this artwork

Themis, the blind lady of Justice sits on a rock surrounded by the sea. In one hand she holds scales, in the other a sword.

My take on one of the more popular art subjects in history. Lady Justice/Themis/Justitia is the representation of morality in governing and law. She's about doing the right thing over just doing the legal thing. In some ways she represents a rebellious notion that while governments can decide what is allowed and what is not, they cannot change what is right and what is wrong.
